We have real enemies in the world. But we shouldn't use our humility as an excuse for inaction. The press has scoured every exit poll for the latest evidence of racial polarization, not just in terms of white and black, but black and brown as well. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation. Our government should work for us, not against us. I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain.

It's not because John McCain doesn't care. America, now is not the time for small plans. I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation; poverty and genocide; climate change and disease. They have killed people of different faiths - more than any other, they have killed Muslims. On economic development, we will create a new corps of business volunteers to partner with counterparts in Muslim-majority countries. There is also one rule that lies at the heart of every religion - that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us.

Now, I don't believe that Senator McCain doesn't care what's going on in the lives of Americans. I know that for many, the face of globalization is contradictory.
